ADHD

Our son (M., 8 years old) was diagnosed with "severe" ADHD in spring 2008. We began sessions of Neurofeedback with the hope that it would help. After about 15 sessions with one Neurofeedback system we did not see significant progress. Mr. Perroud suggested we try a different Neurofeedback device. Within 5 sessions we saw results. After maybe 10 sessions the feedback from the school was very different than what we usually received. "M. is participating well in class", "M. is concentrating longer on his assignments and getting much more work complete". We no longer spent the entire evening and one full day of each weekend catching up with school work. The school teacher asked us if we had started using Ritalin medication ! We did not... the only therapy was this program. So the therapy had a direct impact on the behavior we saw at home and what the teachers saw at school. No negative side effects at all. We are giving M.'s progress time to settle, then, over time we can address his judgement. We have continued Neurofeedback for about 30 sessions. We plan to gradually slow the trainings over summer 2009 (rather than a hard-stop). Clearly, our experience has been very good.

Cerebral Vascular Accident

I am 76 years old. I had a stroke on April 10th, 2008 and was admitted to hospital. The only effects of this stroke were difficulties for talking. I was introduced to Mr Gilles Perroud by my son who gave me about 30 Neurofeedback trainings between August and December 2008. It made me feel a lot better and I'm very grateful for it. I was called by the hospital on February 2nd to make a second test since my stroke and which showed a significant progress. My talking ability had progressed from 62% to 92% between both tests. I can speak now a lot better and I'm very glad to have followed these sessions.

Depression - End of Cure

I'm 48 years old. I had my first Neurofeedback sessions in November 2008, which matched with the end of the period of recovery from addiction to drugs. The first sessions had almost no effects, but on Gilles Perroud's advice, I started a more specific training called "Alpha-Theta" which is also used in case of PTSD / post-traumatic stress disorder. I immediately noticed some very clear results like: a better sleep, more energy at wake-up, more vitality and self-confidence, a better attention and concentration, and also a better ability to express my needs to others. The most significant effect was to get an emotional balance that I had never reached so far and which is still present today. I had no more sessions since the end of 2008 and I don't feel this is necessary either. I'm deeply convinced that Neurofeedback helped me to remain sober, because when the temptation was rising, it used to take me originally about 30 min. to fight against it and to overcome. This period of time rapidly decreased to 1 or 2 minutes along the sessions of Alpha-Theta training.
